Today's post is dedicated to cleaning your brushes. Clean brushes are very important in the overall health of your skin. When you apply makeup with dirty bushes you're not only applying product but harmful bacteria to your skin. Dirty brushes also make it impossible to apply makeup correctly. Here are a few tips for cleaning your brushes.

A good way to end the week is to take the time and clean your brushes. You should be in the habit of cleaning your brushes every week! This is meant to be a light cleaning not a heavy washing. You should rotate your brush set and wash one set monthly and give the set a rest. Choosing this method will help with the longevity of your brushes.

Weekly Brush Cleansers:
How To Use
  1. After using your brush, spray several times over the brush bristles.
  2. Gently wipe the brush onto a clean cloth to remove makeup.
  3. Allow brush to fully air dry before next use.
  4. Repeat weekly or as often as necessary.

Here are steps to giving your brushes a good wash monthly:
  1. Wet the bristles with lukewarm water.
  2. Place a drop of your cleanser or clarifying shampoo (even dishwashing soap works!) of choice into the palm of your clean hand.
  3. Gently massage the tips of the bristles in your palm.
  4. Rinse the bristles thoroughly and repeat until your suds are clear from makeup.
  5. Squeeze out the excess moisture with a clean towel.
  6. Re-form the brush head back into its original shape.
  7. Never store brushes upright while wet. The water from the bristles will run down the handle and loosen the handle from the bristles over time.
It's simple! Be sure to take care of your brushes. The more your take care of your brushes the longer they will last. Purchase your Sprinkle Brush set at www.missaprilfashiongirl.com.
